Nikka Yoichi Discovery Aromatic Yeast 70cl
Article: N1404
Compatibility
Pairs with meat dishes, smoked salmon, strong cheeses and chocolate.
Color
Amber.
Scent
The aroma is subtle and outstanding. The first impression is clearly dominated by grassy, salty and empyreumatic (wet) peat. It is allowed to breathe and gives way to fruits (apple, pear, canary melon), flowers (lily, cloves) and mint, which give impetus to the aromatic palette. Gradually it becomes more milky (cream, coconut), exotic (pineapple, yellow kiwi) and medicinal (ointment, arnica).
Taste
The taste is firm and lively. Combining in its own way the grassy, salty and empyreumatic register of the first nose, the attack also recalls a field of barley washed by sea spray. A more earthy and rooted midpalate sprinkles lumps of peat on the tongue. Floral (tulip, cyclamen) and fruity (mirabelle plum, green plum) tastes are also rustic and sea. The aftertaste is long and clear. Suddenly, the start of the finish invites us to joyfully bite into whole bunches of white grapes. Plum and pulp aromas add a softness to the palate. With a retro-nasal sense of smell reminiscent of fleeting peat, a thin layer of licorice delicately coats the taste buds. Clouds of translucent smoke fly out of an empty glass.
